Full disclosure, I am not a doctor or a nurse but I do work in the medical field so my opinions on this bill are biased.

Please forgive the rant…

I have to laugh when listening to the various commentators talk about how republicans will remember the passage of this garbage this coming November.

Really?

The only thing I need to remember are the last two election cycles where the republicans got hammered. The same republicans that nominated a great American but horrible politician in John McCain. The same republicans that couldn’t stop spending, the same republicans that lost their way from their conservative values. That same batch of republicans was more concerned about being accepted by the dems, they didn’t want to be left out of the D.C. cocktail circuit.

They got their wish and in turn they got their pockets picked.

Elections have consequences…

We are seeing the results of that election today.

No decent person would say that all Americans should not have affordable health care. Of course they should, but what will we actually get with this piece of legislation? It may be affordable but the quality won’t be very good as many physicians will leave the profession in droves. Many more potential HCP’s will take a second look and and go on a different career path.

Those in favor of this bill will feel good today but when they walk into an over crowded E.R. for treatment or when they have a poor quality physician bungle their procedure then they too will understand that elections have consequences.

You get what you pay for.

There is a reason why many great physicians no longer take insurance or participate in medicare…they are good enough to demand cash up front.

I do not have faith in the current state of the republican party because most of them are RINO’s. They are more concerned about being in power then they are about keeping to the conservative values that they claim to embrace.

You know the republican party is a mess when the RNC is more concerned about staying to the center than staying to the RIGHT. We saw it in upstate New York and we are seeing it in Florida. These clowns like Steele and Boehner and McConnell don’t know how to lead, they only want to stay in power. They are addicted to Washington’s polluting ways.

They have no message, they have no plan. They have let the Republican party as we once knew run adrift and then run aground.

This bill is only the beginning. The dems will continue to chip away until they get what they wanted all along…the public option. What a sad day that will be.

I do not have faith that republicans will change. They are to worried about being nice, they don’t want to get down in the trenches and get dirty they dems do seemingly with ease.

Just once I would love some republican pundit melt down like that clown Lawrence O’Donnel does…then maybe it will wake these idiots up that they in the fight of their lives.

Taking back control of one or both houses is not enough, there has to be a fundamental change in the way they do the peoples business. They need to get a fire lit under their butts.

I’m headed off for work soon, so I’ll make this quick. Forgive any errors, this’ll be a once-through, no editing.

 

It has been said, truthfully, that Govt-run healthcare is the Holy Grail of the Libs.

Once it’s passed, the CW goes, that’s it. People will be hooked. Look at England, they say.

(NOTE: I am still fighting this, and I think we have a good chance of winning this weekend. What follows is applicable whatever happens.)

Cloward-Piven. Socialist Takeover. All chaotic.

Well, let’s ask ourselves a question; why in England, as in America, do they do tax withholding? Why not let people get all their money upfront and then pay taxes at the end of the year?

Because THAT would be letting a genie out of the bottle. People would start paying REAL close attention to government spending. They’d want government programs ended. They’d be clamoring for tax reform.

 

Everything we want.

 

Govt-healthcare would give the Dems everything they want. An apathetic, hooked populace. Dependence.

Removing the tax withholding would give us everything we want. An engaged, clear-headed populace. Independence. And it’s much easier to do than repealing entitlements.

They say that if something’s free, people will take it. Human nature.

None of this crap is free. And when people are given something, it is hell to take it from them. Especially their money. Human nature.

He who controls public sentiment controls the situation.

It is time for us to control public sentiment.

 

BTW, a sweet bonus would be for the Republicans in 12, if/when they do this, to announce concurrent layoffs at the IRS, to cut spending, don’t you know.

They can cause chaos for private America? We can cause it for the public sector.

They can create a dependency class? We can create an independence class.

The PC project is a good step towards this. I am looking into if and when I can take such a position. I hope you will too.

If you can’t/won’t do PC, write, call, fax your Republican senator/rep to do this. We need to start pushing the idea NOW.

I’ve been voraciously reading everything I can get a hold of in regards to the House of Representatives “Slaughter Strategy” on passing Obamacare. I’m not a Constitutional lawyer, but the “Slaughter Strategy” certainly seems unconstitutional, not to mention does not pass the smell test. As has been noted in other RS diaries, Mark Levin, a Constitutional lawyer of 30 years, has said his research has failed to find a single instance of a bill having been “deemed” passed, without the actual “yea’s” and “nay’s” being recorded alongside each members name in the log, as required by the Constitution. This kind of sedition cannot be allowed.

The Founding Fathers, our military, and countless others, did not make ultimate sacrifices, so that we could arrive at this point in time preparing to destroy all that they have achieved. Government has become far too powerful, and we were warned about this by these wise and courageous men. Should Obamacare pass via this method, it brings us back to a time of kings, emperors and dictators, decreeing laws with no say of the masses.

The Congress could “deem” us at war with another nation, with no vote.

They could “deem” all the land is owned by Government, taking yours from you, with no vote. (This is already happening, eminent domain in Kelo v. New London)

They could “deem” firearms unsafe for the public, with no vote.

They could “deem” what is unhealthy to eat or drink, outlawing it, with no vote. (This has already started, with the salt in New York example)

They could “deem” what kind of car you are allowed to drive and how far, before you must pay extra for consuming too much energy resourses, with no vote.

They could “deem” at what temperature your house thermostat must be set, regulated by computer from afar, with no vote.

Obviously, there are many more examples of Government intrusion into our lives, that is made even more possible by this circumvention of the Constitution.

Now, with Healthcare, you will be required, by a law they “deemed” passed, to purchase a commodity simply due to the fact that you were born!

My fellow Americans: We cannot allow this subversion of the Constitution, the supreme law of the land, to gain any validity whatsoever, even as only a possible procedure, lest we take one giant step closer to anarchy. I believe the best way to prevent this from happening, is to destroy the idea before it has a chance to actually happen. In the next week, we need to shout down this seditious thinking, exposing it for what it is, for all Americans to see. This subject should dominate the airwaves of radio, TV and the internet, saturating the populace with information that they dare not ignore. Only the disinfectant of sunlight can expose and destroy this evil in our midst.

Please join me in taking the time this week to tell your family, friends, politicians, media and anyone who will listen, about the danger that is fast approaching us. Our beloved American freedom is at stake and we must act NOW if we are to save it!

It occurred to me the other day, that one of the reasons the White House has been goading the Supreme Court is the hopes that perhaps one of the “five” will make some kind of presumptive “gaffe”–one that forces a recusal from any upcoming and certain challenges to the health care bill.  One would be enough to presume a 4-4 split.  Two would be fatal.

I say this because what looks like a cramdown using the “Slaughter Solution” must–must be challenged.  In fact, one could argue that if this thing is going to make it to the President’s desk–this would be the best way to have it unilaterally tossed, as opposed to the individual mandates leaving an unfunded mandate for the country to contend with.

So please.  if you’re a Supreme Court Justice and you happen to read this–please, please save the antebellum statements for the war itself.

Back in the 1970s before people were screaming about global warming, scientists were warning us that the next ice age may be just around the corner. The big freeze scare was eventually pushed aside by the great man-made global warming hoax. Now a new study has been released that global warming may be just the Earth's warning that a new Ice Age is near.

Truth is funny.  You can beat on it, cross-examine it, and it always shines true.

Like gold.  It doesn’t corrode or otherwise degrade.

It is extremely durable.

LIES

Lies are different.  They hold up to casual inspection.  But upon deeper inspection, a lie raises one or more questions that cannot be answered satisfactorily.  That is the hallmark of a lie.

Take Obama’s health care proposal, all 2,700 pages.  Do you have any questions about this bill that have not been answered satisfactorily?

A lie is delicate and not durable.  That is, it fails in not holding up 100-percent to close inspection.

SOMETIMES IT’S HARD TO DISTINGUISH TRUTH FROM LIES FROM IGNORANCE

You might not have enough information.  Or your trust in a certain person might keep you from seeing his or her lies.  Or from seeing ignorance.  That’s why an objective, outside opinion is sometimes really helpful.  That’s also why getting information from a wide variety of sources is important.

Actual Example:  Talked recently by phone with a law professor who is supposedly expert in a part of the law with which I’m quite familiar.  I saw right off he was a blithering idiot.  His students almost certainly can’t see this.  Nor can his fellow faculty members, who are allegedly expert in other parts of the law.

EXAMPLES:  TRUTH, LIES, AND IGNORANCE

Example 1: Jimmy Carter was a good President, I honestly believe.

I call this ignorance.  An un-truth uttered without any apparent malice.

Example 2:  Barack Obama is doing the best he can for America.

I call this a lie.  The assertion is clearly and provably false.  The speaker is a deliberate liar.

Example 3:  The law is designed to be fair to everyone.

Ignorance at best, a lie at worst.

Example 4:  I don’t recall saying that (said under oath).

May be true, may be a lie.  Count how many times the witness says this.

Example 5:  We need to bail out the banks to avoid disaster.

Why?  …I’m still listening.

No satisfactory answer.  A certifiable lie.  The lefty economists, in particular, know it’s a lie.

THE USE OF LIES AS PROPAGANDA

Beginning in the 1930s, powerful and evil persons in the U.S. came to understand they could manipulate the populace through radio, film, and other means of mass communication.

FDR, in particular, came to understand that he could, through mere words, deceive the American People in a major way.  Just as Hitler was doing to the German People in a more criminal way.

Subsequent presidents took FDR’s lesson to heart.  Especially Obama.  Even many on the Left now call him a liar.  It’s really quite amusing to watch.

A huge lie machine exists today to distract, deceive, and subdue the American People.  That machine is aimed squarely at YOU.

Remember:  If a tale being peddled to YOU raises even just one question that cannot be answered satisfactorily, it’s a lie.

SATISFACTORY vs. UNSATISFACTORY ANSWERS

What is a satisfactory answer?  A few examples:

Example #1:  The CBO scored this bill as costing $1 trillion.

I’ll take this as satisfactory, conditionally.

On the other hand, if I learn CBO has faked the numbers even just once, I’ll take this answer to be unsatisfactory.

Example #2:  Everybody does it this way.

Not satisfactory.

Example 3:  I just don’t know.

I’ll take this as satisfactory, conditionally.

But I might ask, why not?

Example #4:  That (politically sensitive) document is classified.

Today, I’m immediately suspicious.  Classifying documents is primary means of government cover-up.  Not satisfactory.

SUMMARY

If in the political arena you encounter a tale, question it, and receive an unsatisfactory answer — and if there is no satisfactory answer to replace the unsatisfactory answer — you’ve encountered either a lie or ignorance.

The more knowledgeable the peddler of the tale, the more likely it’s a lie.

HARMLESS LIES

Some lies, of course, are quite harmless.  My ex-wife, for example, used to ask me if I thought she had gained weight.  I always said no.

NECESSARY LIES

Sometimes, it’s necessary to lie.  For example, if you’re involved in acquiring military intelligence information from a third person, you must lie about certain things.  These lies must be deeply concealed.

These lies are made for a good, not a corrupt, purpose.

Yesterday was a day full of political theater.  The kabuki-like charades and all the “gotcha” comments spewed forth mainly from the Democrats was nothing short of disgusting.  You see my American friends, Washington does not pass any legislation which will benefit you or me.  They first check with their special interest groups or lobbyists to see who will pay them more for their vote.  Did you vote for Barack Obama so he could provide us with deals for big Drug companies?  Did you vote for “change we can believe in” so that we can hand over a Nebraska “corn-husker” deal? 

The good news is that hopefully Nancy Pelosi does not have the votes necessary to pass the Senate version of the health care reform bill from hell.  I have estimated votes based on the anti-abortion legislation which Representative Bart Stupak proposed, and it seems that Nancy will only garner 212 votes from her Progressive Caucas.  She needs 217.  Of course to me, that is way too close for comfort.  If we do not act to stop her, to put the whip vote count down below 200, I fear She, Barack Hussein Obama and Dirty Harry Reid will succeed.  Hopefully our Tea Party Patriots and their friends will help us defeat this bill once and for all.  We cannot wait until the up-coming November elections. 

I am also confident they will propose some “Plan B” for health care reform, if Nancy cannot give them the votes they need to destroy our health care system the way it exists.  Plan B will be some watered down version, but just as dangerous none-the-less.  We must join together to make our voices heard.  We must tell Washington, “We do not want Government-run Health Care”.  Tell them to stay out of our individual lives. 

The corruption in Washington is at near all time highs.  Gone are the days when we could depend upon a Man (or Woman) for his “word”.  To know when he spoke it was the truth.  We are indeed a very lost society on the brink I am afraid of complete failure. 

Our Media is nothing more than a supermarket tabloid, proclaiming the next victim of some sexual diviance.  Reputable magazines such as TIME or Newsweek have fallen to the low levels of the National Enquirer.  They now simply report on all the atrocities that spew out of Washington like liquid cow manure into those holding pits we see on nearby farms. 

Democrats will now push for reconciliation.  As Obama pronounced in his closing remarks yesterday, he will “mull over” the day’s discussion, but in the end he will not wait more than a few weeks.  He is hell bent on passing health care reform legislation as it will be his defining legacy for the history books.  It is also equally defining for the Democrats in general.  Their ideas for America are big government programs, filled with many constraining regulations with taxes to burden the working people of this country to prop up their evil intentions.  Without our dollars they steal as taxes from those of us who are working hard to even get by, they are powerless.  But, with trillions of dollars at their disposal, they can buy whatever policy or program seems to fit their whim of the day.  They have already raided Social Security and Medicare, making both of these programs insolvent.  Now they want to set up another entitlement program to take even more of our hard earned dollars away from us. 

I know I sound despondent, but these are the days foretold many years ago.  The days that good conservative men and women of our past feared would happen for this country.  No longer can we look to the United States as that shinning beacon upon the hill.  Gone are those days when we felt proud of this country as it defined who we are and what we stood for in our lives.  We have sold our souls to the Devil himself.  The devil who is Barack Obama in the flesh.  You have one more chance to stop this mad-man Ladies and Gentlemen.  One more chance to make your voice heard.  I do hope and pray you voice it now.

With phoenix-like resilience, Democratic attempts to resurrect Obamacare have begun again in earnest yesterday as Teh Won unveiled a hybrid of the House and Senate versions that passed last year. We know it has everything to do with control of the people as opposed to the Orwellian spin that Obamacare has to do with health care. The enlightenment philosopher John Locke is commonly thought of as the first exponent of the doctrine of natural rights, However some trace it back further to the Roman Stoic Philosophers. The Stoics were concerned with right behavior and were respecters of religion but did not admit to the worship of any particular sect or deity.

They postulated that what set man apart from the animals was the divine spark which gave man all of his virtues. And that a man deprived of that spark by subjugation, as a slave, lost those divine virtues and thus became little more than an animal. It was reasoned then, by some that certain rights and freedoms were a necessary component of mankind.

Most people in this country, when they have heard of inalienable or natural rights think of them as God given. But it is not necessary to believe in God in order to accept the idea of preexisting rights.

Natural rights are preexisting, meaning that they are not granted by laws or the state, rather States and Laws are created in order to guarantee those rights. And Government is legitimate only if it protects those rights and rules with the consent of the governed.

Now the Left (liberal, progressive, socialist, call it what you will) Have always been in conflict with this doctrine. And not just because most of them are atheistic. They have always felt that there are no absolutes, therefore everything in the world must be viewed only in it’s proper context. everything is relative.

This is of course a path to disaster. If, at any time the populace concedes that the Government has all of the rights and merely bestows them as it sees fit then it is a slippery slop down to tyranny.

It is not that the left don’t believe in rights, but they are situational, and they are not always the same rights that the founders believed in. Free Speech is situational, religious freedom is really freedom from religion. Keep and bear arms? Guns are just icky. and by the way lets just add a bunch of junk and call it rights, like the right to health care or a free lunch.

As usual the roll of the lefty is to destroy. They would rather destroy our rights and replace it with something much much less.

During his Q&A with the republicans in Baltimore Obama referred to debt that he inherited form the previous administration( which included TARP ). This morning I called my senator’s office (Bill Nelson) to find out the dollar amount that had been paid back if the TARP money. By my thinking if Obama can claim that the $700 billion was inherited debt then anything that has been paid back should come off that inherited debt. On the other hand the stimulus money was under his watch therefore that $787 billion plus the now added $75 billion is his debt. I was told by a Nelson aide that the amount of TARP funds that has been paid back has been labeled confidential by the Federal Reserve.
